Mullarkey Pedersen Architects are pleased to share the news that Our Bishop's Gate Hotel project was awarded a Commendation in the Conservation/ Restoration Category at the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2017, announced at the awards ceremony on 23rd June in the Mansion House, Dublin.
This is an excellent addition to the numerous recent successes the Bishop's Gate Hotel Project has achieved this year.
The hotel has been an important addition to the city centre of Derry/ Londonderry and integral to the regeneration of Bishop Street and surrounding area.
To highlight the extent of restoration works which were involved in order to revive this historic structure and make it suitable for its current use in the hospitality sector, and also to reflect on a project successfully delivered and realised, we have put together (below) a gallery of before and after images of some of the primary spaces within the building.
